New Year, New You

Hello organic friends! Happy New Year!

For most of us, the holidays are officially done and dusted (sad face), and if you’re anything like me, you may have over indulged the food and booze and under done the exercise. But don’t worry, new year new you right?!

I thought I’d share with you what I am doing to get my body back in the swing of things and feel as great as I possibly can.

  1. Re-establish My Sleep Routine
    Our bodies restore themselves and detox whilst we sleep, so it is very important we are getting quality sleep. Over the silly season I had waaaay to many late nights and long sleep ins. My poor body didn’t know if it should be awake or asleep! Lately I have been making sure I try as hard as possible to get into bed at the same time every night and into a good sleep cycle. I have found that it is much easier for me to wake up in the mornings for work when I am in a routine.

  2. Exercise in the Morning
    I’m the first person to put my hand up and say that I am NOT a morning person, however waking up and going for a walk or doing a little workout in the morning before work has proved its worth. I am more energized and motivated throughout the day and I don’t have to feel guilty about not doing it when I get home late from work!

  3. Meal Prep
    Now this one I am still mastering, but when I do it, it really does save me money when I prepare my own lunches ahead of time for the week. I cook up something super delicious and nutritious and freeze it on a Sunday, then it’s there waiting for me when lunch time rolls around every day. No hassle and no extra money spent on food I don’t need.

  4. Plan a Little Get Away to Look Forward to and Work Towards
    It just makes the day to day grind a whole lot easier…I’ve been googling Tasmania (cause it’s local), and Scotland and New York (cause #WhiteChristmas!!!!!)
